Who is behind SolvStream?

Shaun Richardson, founder of SolvStream, combines 18+ years of logistics and operational experience with modern AI capability. Based in Elche, Spain, working with service businesses across the UK and Europe. SolvStream exists to fix workflows properly before adding AI, not the other way around.

I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and started my career in logistics. At 21 I moved to the UK and spent over a decade in operations, learning how businesses actually run from the inside.

In 2020 I left a solid UK career to move to Romania for my now wife. I went independent and built a business from scratch, learning what it takes to operate alone without a safety net.

In late 2024, a course on building AI tools cracked something open. The strategic thinking I had relied on for years suddenly had a powerful new application. I was completely hooked.

I moved to Spain with my family in early 2025 and launched SolvStream. It combines nearly two decades of operational experience with modern AI capability. I focus on workflow design first, then embed AI where it genuinely reduces load.

Based in Spain. Working with clients worldwide.

Business Development

I've spent over twenty years in steel trading, sales and business development. In 2013 I founded my own company, Steel Auction Market, in Romania, supplying special and alloy steels across heavy industry, petrochemical, naval and automotive work, as well as architectural Corten.

Running my own business taught me what wins work: relationships, honest conversations, and proof you can point to. I earned a premium reputation in a market that defaults to price, so I understand the buyer who needs to trust you before they commit. For years, that buyer was mine.

At SolvStream I lead business development. I've built and run my own company, so I understand the pressures you face before you describe them. My job is to start the right conversations and find the businesses we're a real fit for.

Sorana Roman

Operations & AI Strategist

I spent close to two decades in digital media, product operations, client delivery, and workflow design, including a long stint as CSO at Newsroom AI. That work taught me how businesses actually run behind the scenes: the messy handoffs, the repeated admin, the tools nobody really owns, and the processes people quietly hold together by sheer force of will.

I'm part of the SolvStream team alongside Shaun Richardson, working on operations and AI-driven projects for service-based businesses. My approach is straightforward: understand the workflow first, then add AI only where it earns its place. Sometimes that means building a useful automation. Sometimes it means removing three unnecessary steps before touching any tech.

Proof Of Capability

How We Work

The principles behind every project.

Precision over volume

Every recommendation is specific to your business. Generic advice gets ignored. Tailored frameworks get used.

Clarity over complexity

If you cannot explain it simply, it will not get used. Every workflow we build is designed to be understood and maintained.

Honesty over comfort

You will hear what you need to hear, delivered with respect. Real progress starts with an honest assessment.

Foundations over shortcuts

Quick fixes create new problems. We build foundations that hold up under growth, pressure, and change.
